Andrea Conti (Fellow, IEEE) is currently a Professor and founding Director of the Wireless Communication and Localization Networks Laboratory, University of Ferrara, Ferrara, Italy.
Prior to joining the University of Ferrara, he was with CNIT, and with IEIIT-CNR. In Summer 2001, he was with the Wireless Systems Research Department, AT&T Research Laboratories. Since 2003, he has been a frequent visitor with the Wireless Information and Network Sciences Laboratory, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA, USA, where he is currently holds the Research Affiliate appointment. His research interests involve theory and experimentation of wireless communication and localization systems. His current research topics include network localization and navigation, distributed sensing, adaptive diversity communications, and quantum information science.
Dr. Conti was an Editor for IEEE journals and chaired international conferences. He was an elected Chair of the IEEE Communications Society’s Radio Communications Technical Committee and is Co-Founder of the IEEE Quantum Communications and Information Technology Emerging Technical Subcommittee. He was the recipient of the HTE Puskás Tivadar Medal, the IEEE Communications Society’s Fred W. Ellersick Prize, and the IEEE Communications Society’s Stephen O. Rice Prize in the field of Communications Theory. He is an elected Fellow of the IEEE and of the IET, and a member of Sigma Xi. He has been selected as an IEEE Distinguished Lecturer.

Resource Optimization in Wireless Networks
Carlos A. Gómez-Vega (Graduate Student Member, IEEE) received the M.S. degree in electronic engineering from the Universidad Autónoma de San Luis PotosÃ, San Luis PotosÃ, Mexico, in 2020. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree with the Wireless Communication and Localization Networks Laboratory, University of Ferrara, Italy.
Since 2020, he has been a Research Assistant with the Wireless Communication and Localization Networks Laboratory, University of Ferrara. In 2019, he was a Visiting Student with the Wireless Information and Network Sciences Laboratory, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA. His current research interests include network localization and navigation, and wireless resource optimization.
Mr. Gómez-Vega received the Best Paper Award from the IEEE LATINCOM in 2019. He also serves as a reviewer for various IEEE journals and international conferences.
Gianluca Torsoli (Student Member, IEEE) received the Laurea degree (summa cum laude) in Electronics for ICT engineering in 2021 from the University of Ferrara, Italy. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree with the Wireless Communication and Localization Networks Laboratory, University of Ferrara, Italy.
Since 2021, he is with the Wireless Communication and Localization Networks Laboratory at the University of Ferrara. His research interests include network localization and navigation, and joint sensing and communication.
Mr. Torsoli serves as a reviewer for various IEEE journals and international conferences.
Andrea Giani is with the Wireless Communication and Localization Networks Laboratory at the University of Ferrara, where he is enrolled in a Ph.D. program.
His research interests include quantum information science and stochastic networks.
Alessandro Vaccari

Multi-Target Tracking and Classification
Alessandro Vaccari received the Laurea degree (summa cum laude) in computer science and the master’s degree (summa cum laude) in electronics for ICT engineering from the University of Ferrara, Italy in 2019 and 2022, respectively. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree with the Wireless Communication and Localization Networks Laboratory, University of Ferrara, Italy.
Since 2022, he has been a Research Assistant with the Wireless Communication and Localization Networks Laboratory at the University of Ferrara. His research interests include multi-target tracking, target identification, and activity recognition.

Davide Andromari received the Laurea degree (summa cum laude) in Electronics for ICT engineering in 2023 from the University of Ferrara, Italy. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree with the Wireless Communication and Localization Networks Laboratory at the University of Ferrara, Italy.
His research interests are in the area of quantum information science and, in particular, on quantum networks.

Federico Forzano received the master’s degree (summa cum laude) in Electronic for ICT engineering in 2023 from the University of Ferrara, Italy. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree with the Wireless Communication and Localization Networks Laboratory of the University of Ferrara.
His research interests are in the area of quantum information science and, in particular, on quantum sensing.

Flavio Morselli
Flavio Morselli received the Laurea degree (summa cum laude) in electronics and telecommunications engineering in 2017 from the University of Ferrara, where he is currently pursuing a Ph.D. degree.
Since 2017, he has been a research assistant in the Wireless Communication and Localization Networks Laboratory at the University of Ferrara. His current research topics include network localization and navigation, multitarget tracking, and stochastic sampling. Mr. Morselli served as a reviewer for different IEEE journals.
He is currently employed with JMA Wireless.
Stefano Guerrini
Stefano Guerrini received the Laurea degree (summa cum laude) in electronics and telecommunications engineering in 2017 from the University of Ferrara, where he is currently pursuing a Ph.D. degree.
Since 2017, he has been a research assistant in the Wireless Communication and Localization Networks Laboratory at the University of Ferrara. In Spring 2020, he visited the Wireless Information and Network Sciences Laboratory at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His current research topics include statistical inference and quantum information science. Mr. Guerrini served as a reviewer for different IEEE journals and international conferences.
He is currently employed with JMA Wireless.
